Investigate: Sensory Nature Stroll’

Eco Explorers

Do you hear the trickling stream? Can you feel the wind blowing through your hair? This guided exploration of the museum’s green spaces invites your class to engage with nature using all their senses. Feel the textures of plants, listen to birdsong and breathe in the scents of flowers on this journey of discovery. Discuss what our senses tell us about the habitats we see, and how they support different animals and plants. This session will encourage pupils to pay closer attention to the world around them and understand the importance of caring for our local environment.

This session takes place outdoors, so we recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing and suitable footwear. Please make us aware of any additional needs that your group may have, as the session is flexible and can be tailored to best suit these needs.
