One of our most fascinating historic buildings at the Ulster Folk Museum, the Straid Corn Mill is usually closed to the public. Get behind the scenes in this special tour.

Discover the remarkable science and engineering behind this centuries-old mill and see first-hand how it transformed grain into flour. A mill is a marvel of early technology - a massive machine crafted from wood, iron, and stone. Powered by renewable energy, it uses cogwheels, pulleys, and massive millstones to grind grain with surprising efficiency.

Come and see the inner workers of this amazing building and hear about it’s history.
