behind the scenes: folk life collection store
A guided tour of the fascinating folk history objects that are kept in our collection store
Go behind the scenes and discover how our museum objects are stored on Friday 5th June.
Join us for a special behind‑the‑scenes tour of the Folk Life collection store at the Ulster Folk Museum. Packed floor to ceiling with fascinating objects from our folk history, the store is rarely open to the public. On Friday 5th June, join our Curator of History, Fiona Byrne, for a guided tour exploring everything from cradles to crocks.
Fiona will highlight some of the collection’s most significant objects, including harnen stands and vernacular chairs, and reveal the vital behind‑the‑scenes work involved in caring for this important national collection.
